I’m proud to know that I live in a City that cares so deeply about protecting its residents. I can now choose which type of energy works best for me, and I can easily get a hold of a City employee whenever I have questions or concerns.

Not only are we using cleaner resources than were available to us before – we’re using resources that are locally controlled. And with local control comes local benefits. It’s great to know that the money we spend on our energy can now be used to better our community.

Our gym is open and fully lit 24 hours a day, so we use a ton of energy. As an LCE customer, not only do we get some relief on our massive energy bill every month – we appreciate LCE’S rate stability and the ability to predict our costs each month plus it’s nice knowing that we can always talk to staff at Lancaster City Hall if we have questions about our energy rates.

When I heard Lancaster was getting into the energy business, I investigated and spoke with friends within the City. If I can save money and help the environment by using a cleaner energy source, why not? It helps mitigate our other environmental impact – paper.

It’s exciting to be part of something local. Just as I prefer to purchase local ingredients for my restaurant, it’s important we support our community by using greener, cleaner energy. Besides, who doesn’t like to save money?
Smart choice is in keeping with the LEED Silver rating I obtained in 2008 for the office. Sustainability is not just conservation, but a way of living lightly with respect to our built environment, renewable energy is a significant part of that lifestyle.
The mission of the AVAQMD is to manage the Antelope Valley’s air quality to achieve a healthful environment through collaboration with the local community to create effective air quality programs while achieving strong and balanced economic growth throughout the region. The Smart Choice option provides AVAQMD a 100% renewable, cost-effective energy source that supports the agency’s mission maintaining and protecting Antelope Valley’s air quality.
We chose Lancaster Energy because we like to support our community. What we didn’t realize was how much we would be saving on our electric bill. Lancaster Energy has helped reduce our cost of doing business. With the savings provided by LCE, we are able to continue to provide a top quality experience for our customers-whether they want to bowl, drink, eat, or just have a good time.
The experiences of Marin, Sonoma, and Lancaster show that (community choice aggregators) are a viable option for local governments to provide cleaner energy at rates that are nearly always less expensive than the rates offered by the existing investor-owned utility.
